1. Voluntary Participation
Your use of FuelWatch and submission of fuel shortage reports is entirely voluntary. You are under no obligation to submit a report, and you may choose not to provide certain information.
2. Political Advocacy
FuelWatch is a civic advocacy tool operated on behalf of National Party Members of Parliament and Senators. Reports submitted through this platform are used to inform elected representatives about fuel supply issues in their electorates and to advocate for policy action.
By submitting a report, you acknowledge that your report may be used for political advocacy purposes, including in representations to government, media statements, and parliamentary proceedings.
3. Communications
By submitting a report, you may receive email correspondence related to your report and fuel supply issues in your area from The Nationals.
4. Good Faith Reporting
By submitting a report, you confirm that the information you have provided is true and accurate to the best of your knowledge. You agree to submit reports in good faith and not to submit false, misleading, or vexatious reports.
5. No Liability
FuelWatch is provided on an “as is” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for:
- The accuracy or completeness of petrol station data
- Any action or inaction by Members of Parliament in response to reports
- Any loss or damage arising from the use of this service
- Service interruptions or technical issues
6. Data Usage
Your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By submitting a report, you consent to the collection, use, and sharing of your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Intellectual Property
Petrol station location data is sourced from Geoscience Australia and is used under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC-BY-4.0) licence. Map data is provided by OpenStreetMap contributors.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of FuelWatch after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Australia. Any disputes arising under these terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Australian courts.
